My best friends are having a baby, so I'm all about kids' clothes right now even though making them is something of a lesson in futility (they grow, after all). Am I going to make them anyway? You bet. I'm not the one who has to change diapers. I'm not unkind, though; most likely I'll end up making some booties, beanies, et al INSTEAD of anything truly useless.

We've got some cute new cotton jerseys that'll be perfect.

There's a couple Cashmerette Harrison button-ups in the pipeline. They're on hold at home, though, while I do something completely different:

... which is wiring a new safety switch on my ancient cabinet saw so I can get work on a SEWING TABLE, at last. Breaking the toggle is as good enough a reason as any, exceeded only by "having intact fingers." If any of you have the hookup on a good used fence and rails, let me know.

Convenient street parking is available on Grand, Hamline, Lincoln, and nearby side streets. Treadle also has access to an off-street parking lot.

You can park in the Green Mill/Colossal Cafe lot from 10-4 Monday through Thursday. Find it diagonally across the street, next to the gas station.

Coming to a class? You are always welcome to stop briefly in front of the store to drop off your things before you look for parking!
