New buttons + a message from Michele
| I meant to stop by the store today to take some photos of new stock but I've been unexpectedly held up by other business-- still, I'm excited to say we've gotten another round of Becky's buttons! If you haven't browsed the antique buttons before, set aside a little time just for them. They're infinitely better than a handful of plastic discs on a card from Joann's, they're built to last, and they're made from beautiful materials: glass, shell, celluloid, steel... We've also received more pillowcase kits from Sew Good Goods!  Just stop by the store to check one out, sew at your convenience, and return the finished pillowcase! Completed pillowcases will be donated to Our Lady of Peace Hospice. Today's email also features a message from Michele, who's been out for a few weeks. Read on! |

Dear Treadle Community, Please accept my apology for my abrupt departure this winter season. I became ill at Christmas and received the difficult diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Immediate surgery and the start of subsequent chemotherapy left little time for anything else. And healing, both physical and emotional, takes time. I am incredibly grateful for my wonderful Treadlettes who seamlessly filled a big gap. I am also thankful for many of you who have sent messages, prayers, and continued to support Treadle during this time. It has been difficult for all of us.
I am hopeful to be back in the store this coming week. I will be teaching a limited number of classes as able between chemo sessions and working to expand class offerings again with our other wonderfully talented teachers.
Please stop in to say hi - bring your dog in for treats, share what you are sewing (pictures appreciated), and let’s catch up. Support a small business. I have missed this wonderfully creative community more than you can imagine.

Parking at Treadle Convenient street parking is available on Grand, Hamline, Lincoln, and nearby side streets. Treadle also has access to an off-street parking lot. You can park in the Green Mill/Colossal Cafe lot from 10-4 Monday through Thursday. Find it diagonally across the street, next to the gas station. Coming to a class? You are always welcome to stop briefly in front of the store to drop off your things before you look for parking! |
