Wonderful easy-care linen blends

Another chilly day, another newsletter...

Today I'm feeling pretty restless! While I'm at the store, it's nice to settle into a project. Nothing prevents me from working on it here, but I don't have anything planned and I've got chores. I've got a notion, though, that I'd like some fuss-free woven swing tops I can pop under a cardigan or wear on their own in the summer. What else but Brussels Washer will do?

DARK PURPLE JAM OCEAN

It's a staple for a reason, along with Essex linen. I love the way contrasting threads lend such vibrance to these fabrics—"cinnamon" is shot through with deep indigo! Yesterday someone picked up a few yards of the same colorway for a waistcoat, which I think will be EXTREMELY handsome.

CINNAMON MUSTARD DEEP

The newest Continuing On cohort still has space! Sign up for help with anything beyond beginner-level sewing.

CONTINUING ON

We've got another Friday Sewing Social coming up! Join Kathryn for a fun and productive evening Friday, Feb. 21 from 5 to 9. (I'd like to come but I have a manuscript due that day, and I'll probably be doing a last-minute proofread... please go drink my share of wine?)

FRIDAY SEWING SOCIAL

Rebecca hosts Just Start Sewing the next day. If you've got a new or new-to-you machine, this class will get you acquainted!

Convenient street parking is available on Grand, Hamline, Lincoln, and nearby side streets. Treadle also has access to an off-street parking lot.

You can park in the Green Mill/Colossal Cafe lot from 10-4 Monday through Thursday. Find it diagonally across the street, next to the gas station.

Coming to a class? You are always welcome to stop briefly in front of the store to drop off your things before you look for parking!
