I hope the sudden chill has you feeling bright and braced! At last, the weather we should have had all last month. Today I'm sharing some fall classics: rich, autumnally-colored corduroys. They'd make great trousers, obviously, but also decor, and Michele's making a waistcoat out of the goldenrod for a Fellowship of the Ring group costume!
Also admire that gorgeous abstract print from Japan (it'd make for a sharp work blouse) and a light, lovely handkerchief linen-- a fabric not reserved for summer use alone. Wear it all season! It's especially lovely contrasted with richly textured or napped fabrics. |

![]() How lovely is Celeste? After solving some fit issues with Michele, she sewed these dresses for a family wedding celebration. (I'm pretty sure they're both the Cashmerette Upton, which has generous options for every occasion!) ![]() Do you need to focus on fit? Sign up for Fitting Starts Here on Saturday, Oct. 26. Michele covers mockups, common adjustments, and more. If you've made your muslin but need assistance (plus an extra pair of hands to pin it up), try the Fit Workshop Thursday, November 7th! ![]() I love this distance shot. Celeste's silhouette is terrific, and the fabric looks so rich. (Plus: hey, a steamed-shingle Storybook roof! Sorry, Celeste... it's one of my favorite domestic architectural styles.) |
