| Just in, from Free Spirit: cotton broadcloth prints by Denise Burkitt inspired by a stay at a lush 19th-century palace in Jaipur! Delicate tints recall colorful silk ribbon and lush formal gardens. We're quite fond of these, and we've already sold some-- one of our kids' camp students is making a quilt with them, and I think it'll turn out beautifully-- so I implore you... Get on it ASAP! "Jade Treasures" especially would make a GREAT blouse. I'm picturing a crisp camp shirt or something with a dolman sleeve! |

I'm definitely a little beat today: I've just been through another kids' camp, and honestly I think this is my favorite yet. It's so awesome to meet so many curious, dedicated young makers, and not a one of them wants to sew the same thing: among today's rpojects were two very different quilts, a bucket hat, and a Doraemon plushie! If you want to get adventurous, think about taking a class-- and register sooner rather than later! (Knowing how many people are coming determines whether we hold the class or not, and we have a limited number of students.)    |

Parking at Treadle Convenient street parking is available on Grand, Hamline, Lincoln, and nearby side streets. Treadle also has access to an off-street parking lot. You can park in the Green Mill/Colossal Cafe lot from 10-4 Monday through Thursday. Find it diagonally across the street, next to the gas station. Coming to a class? You are always welcome to stop briefly in front of the store to drop off your things before you look for parking! |
