Celebrate Christmas in July

A new collection from Free Spirit has arrived: it's Christmas! Yes, in July. The Cotswold Collection features classic William Morris prints in festive colors, and even if (like me) you don't observe (or you're not ready to think about the inevitable passage of time?) they're perfect for any season. Strawberry Thief is my favorite textile design EVER, and those rich reds suit it so well!

More wonderfully wintry fabric wings its way to the store as I type this-- including a super-cute project panel we've made into a kit. Remember, folks: the best time to make something for Christmas is as far ahead as possible.

We're marking down select Jalie patterns! Jalie offers fantastic patterns for everyday wear and activewear in a huge range of sizes (from childrens' sizes to plus!).

And I'd like to draw your attention to some fabulous knits: a heavier, fluid white jersey and two plush cotton-blend velours. The latter two would make the COZIEST Cashmerette Stanton hoodies, and of course you could use the jersey for just about anything-- I'm picturing a swing top, maybe the Chalk and Notch Pony?

We've had a last-minute cancellation for next week's summer sewing camp for kids of all skill levels! Kids with little or no sewing experience will learn to thread and operate a sewing machine and get a foundation of sewing skills, plus learn hand sewing stitches, ironing skills, and how to work with felt as they make a simple pillow, drawstring bag, stuffie, and more! Please call the store to register. This session takes place between 9:30 AM to 12:30pm the week of Monday, August 5th to Friday, August 9th.

Parking at Treadle

Convenient street parking is available on Grand, Hamline, Lincoln, and nearby side streets. Treadle also has access to an off-street parking lot.

You can park in the Green Mill/Colossal Cafe lot from 10-4 Monday through Thursday. Find it diagonally across the street, next to the gas station.

Coming to a class? You are always welcome to stop briefly in front of the store to drop off your things before you look for parking!
