Great deals on cozy coating and velour!

Hey folks! Sorry for a little lateness, but better now than never, right? Have you seen our clearance sale yet? It's full of plush, lush, and cozy fabrics: coating, cuddle, and velour! You might sweat just thinking of them, but let me assure you it's a great time to start on your fall and winter wardrobe-- you'll have it ready to go before you really need it! Here's a spotlight on some of my favorites.

Crop the Cashmerette Appleton (sizes 0-16, 12-32and sew up a soft and inviting wrap top in dove-gray cotton-blend velour. Major ballet vibes! I think it'd also make a fab Daughter Judy Wren.

I love the oversized herringbone on this gorgeous periwinkle coating! Use it for a lush wrap coat or play up the drama in a Falda jacket from Pattern Fantastique.

... which would be equally cool in this espresso/cream coating, or this silk and wool-blend suiting:

Or as a tried-and-true store favorite, the Jalie Tania coatigan!

When I asked what you'd love to see on the fall schedule, a lot of you had the same answer: a fitting course! Good news-- we have 'em. Let's spotlight some of our upcoming classes!

Fitting Starts Here (fall dates TBD) covers the basics: how to select a pattern, make a mockup, common adjustments, and more. The Fit Workshop focuses on a specific garment, starting with the pattern and (if applicable) your muslin mock-up. You'll have an extra set of hands to help with pinning, someone to tell you what that little wedge you pinched out means, and you'll learn to transfer changes to your paper pattern!

There's still space in tonight's Fit Workshop, BTW!

Last, the ne plus ultra always-in-demand pants fitting and construction course... which I feel I don't need to explain. We all hate fitting those dang things.

That's not the upper limit on our offerings: we've had coat classes, project-based courses for patterns like the ultra-versatile Upton, and more. Keep sending your ideas and requests, no matter how out there... we want to know what you need! Button-up shirts, perhaps? How to fit asymmetries?

(Just sayin': I'm into bra fitting and sewing. I could be convinced.)

Admire, if you will, some of the loudest lounge pants in the room (their words, not mine):

Libby and Nico made these in our Beginning Sewing course!

Birthday tidings to all July babies! Were you born in July? Stop by on the 21st for sweet eats and other treats, like 15% off nearly everything in the store! Bring a friend and they'll get 15% off too, even if they aren't a sweet summer child.

Can't promise a teeny-tiny cake like that. Can promise great deals.

Not able to make it? Hold tight! You'll get an email with a special code for 15% off your online purchases through the end of the month (and you can use it multiple times!).

I like to think of this part of the email as the credits roll. Remember to check our calendar for more upcoming classes!
