Afternoon, folks. My jetlag be damned, the store is hopping. We've got a class full of kids for our summer sewing camp... and a rare opportunity for you: there's two spots available in the June 24-28 session!  Send us your most industrious kiddos! Those with little or no sewing experience will learn to thread and operate a sewing machine and get a foundation of sewing skills, plus hand-sewing stitches, ironing skills, and how to work with felt. They'll make a simple pillow, a drawstring bag, a stuffie, and more! Opportunity's not wasted on the young, of course. There's space in our Thrift Flip class for YOU, yes, YOU. Ever score a fab find but it's not quite right? Too long, too big, too low-cut, or too bright? Maybe, like someone I won't name, you missed the return window on those premium jeans that are long in the crotch and huge in the hip and also you're 5'3'' and who do they make these things for, anyway, Paul Bunyan? GIRAFFES?  Bring up to four garments for evaluation and learn tips and techniques for altering RTW! We welcome questions on all projects-- it's helpful to know why something can't be altered, too. Put new life into clothes you love, but that you haven't been wearing! |

Parking at Treadle Convenient street parking is available on Grand, Hamline, Lincoln, and nearby side streets. Treadle also has access to an off-street parking lot. You can park in the Green Mill/Colossal Cafe lot from 10-4 Monday through Thursday. Find it diagonally across the street, next to the gas station. Coming to a class? You are always welcome to stop briefly in front of the store to drop off your things before you look for parking! |
