| I didn't introduce myself in my last email... hi! I'm Emily, the newest employee at Treadle Yard Goods. I'm a parrot owner/rose gardener/fantasy author/Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast and a lover of textile craft. When I lived in Minneapolis, I made the pilgrimage to Treadle Yard by bus; now that I'm in St. Paul, I hit the Eggplant -> Wet Paint -> Treadle circuit on the regular. But I've shopped here since I moved to the Cities in 2011, and it's my favorite place to find interesting, adaptable fabrics like our new selection of challis! (... Challises?) |

| We've also received some spectacular knits, among them a jersey that sold out instantly the last time we stocked it. I've snapped up two yards, most of it bound for a Concord tee-- but the stretch recovery is so good I'm using the rest in a Lilypa Designs Momiji bralette with powernet and stretch lace I dyed lilac at home. I'll feature them on Friday along with our new Pattern of the Month (the Jalie Stella leggings!) and-- in lieu of a Fun Fact-- my tried-'n-true dyeing method for matching ANY shade... with just three colors, your stovetop, and a milligram scale! |

Parking at Treadle Convenient street parking is available on Grand, Hamline, Lincoln, and nearby side streets. Treadle also has access to an off-street parking lot. You can park in the Green Mill/Colossal Cafe lot from 10-4 Monday through Thursday. Find it diagonally across the street, next to the gas station. Coming to a class? You are always welcome to stop briefly in front of the store to drop off your things before you look for parking! |
