When did you feel grateful?
Thanksgiving is here. The one holiday we celebrate and gather as families and friends to give thanks. It is that simple. I am making lists and prepping for the chaos of having an additional 8 people plus 2 large dogs in my little rambler. And I will love it all. As preparations continue, I have been thinking about gratitude a bit differently: about times when I felt grateful. Most recently, these two come to mind: A recent video of my mom, who is in memory care, and I singing a favorite Czech children’s song together. Bringing our newest four-legged family member home, her head resting her on my lap. Is there a time you felt grateful? I really want to know. Respond to this email or drop a note in the box at the store. I promise to read every one and you will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Treadle gift certificate. Whatever your Thanksgiving looks like, may you find time to smile with those you love and give thanks for another trip around the sun. |
