How are you giving thanks?
Thanksgiving is here. The one holiday we celebrate and gather as families and friends to give thanks. It is that simple. I think I am ready? And thankful for family that is bringing food. Galley kitchens are not much fun for preparing big holiday feasts! I do love having all the family favorites - wild rice, scalloped corn, and dog food cookies (you might know them as no-bake oatmeal candy cookies and yes, there is a story) - all from Mom’s special recipes! I am most looking forward to being together - kids and grands and food and fun! In this season, where it is easy to get caught up and rush ahead, I do not yet have Christmas decorations out. I am reminding myself to slow down, to enjoy the season and BE thankful. Thank you, our wonderful customers, who have brought your creativity, ideas, and grace to Treadle. Along with my lovely Treadlettes, you have created an amazing, supportive sewing community. Whatever your Thanksgiving looks like, may you find time to smile with those you love and give thanks for another trip around the sun. |
