Classes Coming Up! New Spring Fabrics!

Is there a classic shirt on your list of projects? The Granville Shirt from Sewaholic Patterns (pear shapes) or Harrison from Cashmerette (more curvy, full bust) have front bust dart (princess seams for Harrison), back yoke and back princess seams for optimal fitting options.  Try it out of stretch cotton if you are looking for something more comfy. Great pattern instructions and drafting for collar, stand and cuffs.  
This is a sew along so while there will be fitting help, we will focus on collar, cuff and placket techniques to be sure the shirt is completed.

BEGINNING APPAREL SEWING

If you slept through Home Ec. or never had the opportunity, this class is for you. We’ll guide you through the basics of how to use your machine, how to select patterns and fabric, and how to decipher pattern directions. You will learn all you need to know to construct a simple garment in class. Final pattern and fabric selections will be made during class.

Need a little extra help with your sewing, but not enough to take a full class? This 2-hour block of time is a flexible mini-workshop on the project or technique of your choice. You probably won’t complete a whole project, but we’ll help you through the tricky bits!
