KIDS' AFTER SCHOOL SEWING CLUB:
Beginners and Beyond

Beginners will learn to use a sewing machine and finish several projects, including a pillowcase to learn basic construction techniques. Students who have already sewn will begin pattern sewing with a pajama pant and then may choose another pattern with the guidance of instructors. Bring your sewing machine or use one of ours!

Project costs NOT included in class fee and will vary with project chosen.

Need a little extra help with your sewing, but not enough to take a full class? This 2-hour block of time is a flexible mini-workshop on the project or technique of your choice. You probably won’t complete a whole project, but we’ll help you through the tricky bits!

BEGINNING QUILTING

Learn the basics of quilting - from fabric and color choices, rotary cutting, machine piecing and construction, to binding and finishing. Some sewing outside of class may be required.

APPLIED SERGERY

Did you graduate from Basic and Beyond but just can’t quite take the next step to using your serger to make something? Bring your pattern and fabric and we’ll talk you through best tips and techniques and give you the confidence (or hold your hand ) so you can maximize your machine and sew faster and better than before.
