Need to make a Victorian ballgown? Want some help fitting your 18th century stays? Do the gowns of Jane Austen’s era make your heart flutter? Whatever historic sewing project you have in mind, Elizabeth will help your dreams materialize, from the corsets and petticoats to the ruffles and trims. Whether your thing is hardcore accuracy and tons of hand sewing, or you just want to make a fun costume, you’ll find guidance and inspiration here. Some sewing outside of class and some independent research will be required.

PILLOWS & CUSHIONS - THE BASICS AND MORE
Pillows are a fabulous and affordable way to add punch to your decor and adding a new chair cushion ups the decorating ante. Learn the sewing techniques you need to know to duplicate the expensive decorator pillows and cushions you’ve been drooling over. From making your own piping to inserting a lapped upholstery zipper, you’ll discover just how easy it is to give your furniture a whole new look. Choose to construct a pillow or cushion. Now offering longer class time! You may be able to finish both!

SEW A CARDIGAN
Autumn means layering, and what better way than with fun and stylish cardigans? Using soft knit fabrics and a simple pattern, you’ll sew a cardigan you can toss on effortlessly. Choose one of our recommended patterns, or bring in your favorite t-shirt pattern to alter. You should have some experience sewing with knits. A serger is not required, but your sewing machine MUST have a zigzag stitch.
