Capes and cloaks are classic for so many occasions - drama at the opera or something sweet and simple for the woods! Give yourself an air of mystery while you stay cozy and warm. 

SUUPLIES NEEDED:

• Sewing machine in good working order, with bobbins and machine accessories

• Fabric: Wool or another stable woven fabric. Depending on your height and the shape/style you want to make, you’ll want a MINIMUM of 2.5 yards of 60” wide fabric, or as much as 5 yards.

• Lining fabric (optional) same as above

• Thread to match

• Pattern: there are many cape patterns available! Bring one you like OR you can make a simple half-circle cape with no pattern!

• Closure: a large hook and eye, fancy clasp, button, ribbons, or whatever you like

You will also need the following BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES:

• sewing scissors

• tape measure

• straight pins

• pin cushion

• seam ripper

• 6" seam gauge

• washable fabric marker or chalk pencil

• one package of assorted size Universal sewing machine needles

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If your plans change, and you cannot attend a class, let us know as soon as possible by phone. We will refund your class fee in full up to ONE WEEK before class begins. After that time, class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sometimes we must cancel a class. We will let registered students know as soon as we can. You will have the option to transfer into a different class, if applicable, or you may ask for a refund or store credit.
