Come and sew with us! This 6-session afternoon class will keep you sewing nearly all summer.  Open to all skill levels for kids ages 9 - 14! 

Please note this class meets weekly with skip weeks of July 5, July 19, Aug 2.

Kids with little or no sewing experience will learn to thread and operate a sewing machine and get a foundation of sewing skills, plus learn hand sewing stitches, ironing skills, and how to work with felt as they make a simple pillow, drawstring bag, stuffie, and more!

Kids who are already familiar with a sewing machine can make a simple skirt or pajama pants, and branch out into other projects of their choice. Our instructor will guide students to the project that's right for their skill level.

Class fee includes a $50 gift certificate for project supplies.

Students will also need basic sewing tools (not included - kits available for purchase). See supply list for details.


SUPPLIES NEEDED:

• sewing machine in good working order, with bobbins and machine accessories (Need to borrow a machine from us? CONTACT US by phone to reserve one.)

• sewing scissors

• tape measure

• straight pins

• seam ripper

• 6" seam gauge

• washable fabric marker or chalk pencil

• one package of assorted size Universal sewing machine needles

• hand sewing needles

You can find your class supplies for sale at our store. Our staff will be happy to assist you in gathering your supplies!

Full payment is required to reserve your space in class.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If your plans change, and you cannot attend a class, let us know as soon as possible by phone. We will refund your class fee in full up to ONE WEEK before class begins. After that time, class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sometimes we must cancel a class. We will let registered students know as soon as we can. You will have the option to transfer into a different class, if applicable, or you may ask for a refund or store credit.
