Do you love the look of half-square triangles but get overwhelmed by cutting out all those triangles and matching up all those points? Then take this class and let Marina show you her streamlined process for sewing half-square triangle blocks. You can make a traditional Sawtooth block using half-square triangles or switch things up and make any number of variations. You'll learn how to make eight half-square triangles at once, how to use quilting rulers to square up blocks to get perfectly matched points, and some other tips and tricks to streamline the process of making half-square triangles.

Supplies needed:

• sewing machine in good working order, with bobbins and machine accessories

• rotary cutting set: rotary cutter, cutting mat, and 12.5" clear gridded quilting ruler

• Two or more fat quarters or minimum 3/8 yard cuts of 100% cotton quilting fabric 

• 100% cotton thread

• Sewing machine presser feet: 1/4" piecing foot

You will also need the following BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES:

• sewing scissors

• tape measure

• straight pins

• seam ripper

• 6" seam gauge

• washable fabric marker or chalk pencil

• one package of assorted size Universal sewing machine needles

If your plans change, and you cannot attend a class, let us know as soon as possible by phone. We will refund your class fee in full up to ONE WEEK before class begins. After that time, class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sometimes we must cancel a class. We will let registered students know as soon as we can. You will have the option to transfer into a different class, if applicable, or you may ask for a refund or store credit.
