The cottagecore look is everywhere. This soft, nature-inspired look incorporates layers, textures, ruffles, and a timeless, vintage feel.

In this class, we focus on making the underskirt - a perfect petticoat or slip to fill out your look. Add ruffles, tucks, lace, or whatever trims your heart desires! Or make this as a simple skirt to wear on its own.

Students who sign up for all 3 Cottagecore Wardrobe classes get a $35 credit!


The Dress Class

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

• sewing machine in good working order, with bobbins and machine accessories

• Woven fabric - cotton, linen, or rayon, 2-3 yards, depending on desired length and trims

• Cotton thread to match fabric

• Pattern Suggestions:

• Friday Wilder

• Cashmerette Upton

• Folkwear Edwardian Petticoats

• OR choose any basic skirt pattern to embellish

You will also need the following BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES:

• sewing scissors

• tape measure

• straight pins

• pin cushion

• seam ripper

• 6" seam gauge

• washable fabric marker or chalk pencil

• one package of assorted size Universal sewing machine needles

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If your plans change, and you cannot attend a class, let us know as soon as possible by phone. We will refund your class fee in full up to ONE WEEK before class begins. After that time, class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sometimes we must cancel a class. We will let registered students know as soon as we can. You will have the option to transfer into a different class, if applicable, or you may ask for a refund or store credit.

MASK GUIDELINES for classes at Treadle Yard Goods

Face masks covering the mouth and nose are currently REQUIRED for all students during classes, regardless of vaccination status. We will work to accommodate those with medical conditions or disabilities that prevent wearing a mask.
