Beginning Quilting

Not interested in sewing clothes? In this class you'll learn the basics of quilt making.

Our Picture This! project quilt features simple blocks for practice rotary cutting, sewing a 1/4" seam, and putting it all together. Choose a theme that has “picture “ blocks, pictorial borders, and coordinating fabrics or make it a little simpler with one great fabric design matched with fabrics you love.

With a little bit of homework outside of class, you can finish your quilt top.  We'll discuss the basics of backing and how to assemble and the benefits of quilting yourself versus using a long arm quilter.  No pre-washing is necessary- washing these small yardages makes them difficult to use!
