If you're new to sewing, start here!

We'll be with you every step of the way as you learn how to thread and use your sewing machine, read a garment sewing pattern, and sew a simple project selected from a curated collection of patterns appropriate for beginning sewists.

You will choose your fabric and pattern the first night of class.

This class has 5 sessions and meets once a week.

• sewing machine in good working order, with bobbins and machine accessories (or call us if you'd like to borrow one of ours)
  
• ***Please DO NOT waste your money on a mini sewing machine. Most do not work. You will be frustrated and not enjoy sewing.***
• 1/2 yard cotton muslin for practice stitching
  
  
• Additionally, please plan to spend $30 - $50 for fabric for your class project. Pattern is included in the cost of the class. Selections will be made during the first class. 
  
• Eversewn Sewing Starter Kit or the BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES listed below. 

You will also need the following BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES:

• sewing scissors (of a quality for fabric only - we love Kai and Eversewn)

• bobbins that fit your sewing machine (most new machines use a class 15 plastic bobbin)

• tape measure

• straight pins

• seam ripper

• 6" seam gauge

• washable fabric marker or chalk pencil

• one package of assorted size Universal sewing machine needles

Full payment is required to reserve your space in class.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If your plans change, and you cannot attend a class, let us know as soon as possible by phone. We will refund your class fee in full up to ONE WEEK before class begins. After that time, class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Sometimes we must cancel a class. We will let registered students know as soon as we can. You will have the option to transfer into a different class, if applicable, or you may ask for a refund or store credit.
